Installation and safety

We do not install equipment. Whole-house standby generators, transfer switches and hard-wired home battery systems must be installed by a licensed electrician, and by a licensed plumber where a gas line is involved, following local code and any required permits. Never connect a generator directly to a home outlet ("backfeeding"). Run fuel-burning generators only outdoors, far from windows, doors and vents; carbon monoxide can kill. Follow every manufacturer warning.

If you rely on powered medical equipment, have a backup plan that does not depend on a single device, and talk to your doctor and equipment provider about power needs during an outage.
